GERALDINE – The Collinsville Lady Panthers rallied for four runs in the bottom of the seventh inning to take a 6-5 win over Sylvania in the first round of the Class 3A, Area 13 softball tournament at Geraldine on Friday.

The Lady Panthers overcame six errors and had just three hits. Ella Coker had one of those hits, walked twice, scored a run and drove in one. Gabriella Whitmore collected a hit, walk and a run. Jemma Smith had a hit and a walk. Aubrey Reeves walked twice and scored twice. Lexii Burt drew a walk.

Maelee Barkley pitched five innings and didn’t allow an earned run. She gave up a pair of hits and three walks with two strikeouts. Smith tossed two innings and didn’t allow an earned run. She gave up a pair of hits and had a strikeout.

The Lady Panthers play in the winners bracket on Saturday.
