RAINSVILLE – The Sand Rock Lady Wildcats dropped a pair of heartbreaking softball games in the Plainview Spring Classic Tournament on Friday. They lost 9-8 in eight innings and fell to Collinsville 7-6.
In the loss to Geraldine, Aliyah King led Sand Rock at the plate by going 3-for-4 with a double, a walk and two runs. Emma Sipsy went 2-for-4 with a home run, a double, a walk, a run and two RBIs. Macy Martin was 2-for-5 with a run and two RBIs. Raven Todd went 2-for-4 with a RBI. Kinzlee Peek was 2-for-4.
Taylyn Warren doubled and scored two runs. Aubie Camp and Madison Walker both had a hit, a run and a RBI.
Sipsy tossed 7 1/3 innings and gave up three earned runs on seven hits with three walks and eight strikeouts. Martin worked 1/3 of an inning and surrendered an earned run on a hit with a walk.
In the loss to Collinsville, Martin and Walker both had a pair of hits and a pair of runs.
Molly Grace Lay tripled, walked and had a RBI. King doubled, walked, scored two runs and had a RBI. Camp contributed a hit and a RBI. Warren finished with a hit.
Martin suffered the loss after working 6 2/3 innings. She gave up four runs on a hit with three walks and 10 strikeouts.
