In the Cherokee County Arrest Files for the previous 24 hours:

TIMOTHY WAITS age 47 of Cedar Bluff was arrested by Cedar Bluff Police and charged with Domestic Violence 3rd Degree;

JOHN BARFIELD age 60 of Mentone was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office, charged with two counts of Conditional Release Violation and Grand Jury Indictment/Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance

And

JOSHUA POGUE age 32 from Centre was arrested by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office and charged with Non-Support.

Arrests are based upon probable cause – and, all subjects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.  Currently, there are a total of 110 inmates housed in the Cherokee County Detention Center.
