Several Alabama cities had Record High temperatures again on Saturday – that, according to the National Weather Service.
Temperatures, especially across the southern part of the state were very warm on Saturday, leading to several records falling.
Mobile had one of the oldest records to fall; the National Weather Service said that the temperature there actually hit 90 degrees – and it broke the old record of 87 set all the way back in 1936; Huntsville hit 86 – tying the record for October 26th, which had stood even longer – since 1927.
Meanwhile, several other areas in the state had warm temperatures that fell a few degrees short of record territory.
Other High Temperatures from Saturday:
* Anniston: 86 degrees (the record was 88 in 1963)

There will also be a low chance for a shower or two in our area.
More mid to upper 80’s will again be possible for parts of both south, and south-central Alabama today (Sunday), according to weather forecasts.
Statewide more above-average temperatures will be possible all the way through next week, and even beyond.
