Gadsden State Community College to host 2nd Annual Cardinal Foundation Gala

The Gadsden State Community College Cardinal Foundation will host its gala at 6 p.m. Thursday, October 10 at The Venue. The event will include cocktails, a seated dinner, a silent auction and live entertainment by Worth the Wait of Cherokee County and Swoop (members of the Gadsden State Show Band).

“We are beyond thrilled to present such talented musicians and singers for this year’s Cardinal Gala. Worth the Wait, the mother-daughter trio from Cherokee County is nationally recognized thanks to their appearances on American Idol and The Voice,” said Hilary Folsom, director of Advancement and Alumni Relations at Gadsden State. “We have planned an evening full of showcasing the talent of our students, as well as opportunities to interact with faculty, staff and students in many of our programs including FAME and Health Sciences.”

Last year’s gala was the inaugural event for the Cardinal Foundation and was successful, raising over $68,000 to be used for scholarships and college initiatives. Those dollars have funded projects for Health Sciences and the most recent addition of supplies for a Black Box Theater for our Fine Arts program.

“With a delicious dinner featuring local vegetables, presented by our students, you will certainly enjoy the evening with your table mates,” said Tommie Goggans III, president of the Cardinal Foundation Board of Directors. “Our community and sponsors have stepped up to support this event and we couldn’t be more grateful. I encourage everyone to visit our social media page to see sponsor highlights and silent auction items that I am sure will go quickly.”

Sponsorships for the Cardinal Gala are available ranging from $1,500 for a table for eight to $10,000 for the exclusive Presenting Sponsor. Individual tickets are also available for $100 each.
