Sierra Wilks, the Chief of Corrections with the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office, has been elected to serve on the Executive Board of the Alabama Jail Administrators Council (AJAC). This prestigious appointment reflects her dedication to advancing the very best practices in Jail Management and Inmate Care across the state of Alabama.
The Alabama Jail Administrators Council plays a very highly critical role in supporting Jail Administrators throughout Alabama, by providing the resources needed, legal based training, and also advocacy.
The council’s mission is to promote the absolute highest standards in the operation of Alabama’s jails – also safeguard the rights, and well-being of inmates – and ensure the safety of jail staff, and the public – all dedicated to professional development, collaboration, and to improving the overall quality of corrections facilities statewide.
