Cedar Bluff Town Council Meeting

The Cedar Bluff Town Council met in a Workshop before the Council Meeting and Mayor Tammy Crane called upon Fireman and Cedar Bluff Utility Board Member Bill Warren to address the Council. Warren was adamant about commending all the people responsible for making Liberty Day such a success. In the future he would like to see the overall economic impact it had on Cedar Bluff. He said it was a total team effort and it was one of the best turnouts ever. The vendors went from 26 last year to 49 this year.

During the Regular Council Meeting Crane had Police Chief Jeremy Stepps give the Police Report for the month of June. The Cedar Bluff Police Department patrolled 16,282 miles with 8 felony arrests and 12 warrants served.

Then, Fireman Bill Warren gave the Fire Report for June. There were 24 incidents in June. After that Mark Baty, the Building Inspector gave the Building Inspector Report for June. There were 16 Campers Permits purchased.

Next, on the agenda and last was the quote for tree and limb removal from Lindsey Lawn & Landscaping, L.L.C . out of Gaylesville. This is because it’s impeding people’s visibility of the new electric sign in the Town Park from the road. Also, it’s a danger if a bad storm comes through that area. The quote was for $5,000 and was approved unanimously. The money will come from Parks and Recreation.

The next Cedar Bluff Town Council meeting will be on August 12th.
