WOODVILLE – The Gaylesville Lady Trojans picked up a pair of area softball wins at Woodville on Tuesday. The scores were 17-1 and 23-2.
In the first game, Gracie Dawson delivered three hits, including a double, with a walk, four runs and three RBIs. Emma Givens, Sydney Smith and Gracelynn Drake each added a pair of hits. One of Givens’ hits was a double. She also walked, scored three runs and had four RBIs. Smith tripled, scored a run and had two RBIs.
Lydia Reynolds collected a hit, a walk, three runs and a RBI. She also picked up the win after allowing a run on a hit with five walks and five strikeouts in four innings.
In the second game, Givens garnered a pair of hits, a run and four RBIs. Aubrie Peek also had two hits with three RBIs. Dawson managed an inside-the-park home run, three walks, four runs and a RBI. Bayleigh Ratliff collected a hit, two walks, three runs and two RBIs. Reynolds had a hit, a walk, three runs and two RBIs. Smith also had a hit, a walk and three runs. Aubree Colbert contributed a hit, a walk and two runs.
Reynolds again earned the win after working three innings. She gave up an earned run on three hits with two walks and finished with four strikeouts.
