Just after 8 am Tuesday, a red Dodge pickup truck traveling east bound on the Chesnut Bypass left the roadway in front of Little Caesars Restaurant, crossed the parking lot in front of the Works, struck an unoccupied car in that parking lot knocking it into a grassy area before taking out a corner post of the Works Building. The pickup truck finally come to rest about 100 yards down in a cotton field.
The driver of the pickup reported soreness but no major injuries.
Centre Police investigated with Centre Fire, Atrium EMS, and Cherokee Rescue Squad responding.
