Driver Attempts to Drive Away Following Cherokee County Wreck

Just before 8:00am Sunday reports came in that a vehicle had crashed on Highway 411 at County Road 157.

Reports indicated that the vehicle had left the roadway and had received considerable damage; it was reportedly resting against the tree line, and was smoking at the time.  A passerby shortly thereafter said that the driver refused any assistance, and instead managed to leave the scene in the wrecked vehicle.  She ended up pulling over a short distance away, and at that point, asked for the vehicle to be towed, and she refused medical assistance.

During that incident, she reportedly struck a guy wire on a power pole, and also damaged a fence as well.

We’ll have more on this story as it becomes available.
