WALNUT GROVE – Sand Rock found itself tied with West End in the third quarter, but the Patriots pulled away for a 27-13 victory in high school football action on Friday.
Gatlin Cox accounted for the Wildcats’ first score on a 9-yard touchdown reception right before halftime. Kane Robison added a 2-yard scoring run in the third quarter that tied the game at 13.
From there, West End responded with two touchdowns for the final.
Sand Rock (1-5) travels to North Sand Mountain next Friday. West End (3-3) is open.
