North Alabama Man killed in Etowah County Wreck That Injured 3 Others

A north Alabama man was fatally-injured Thursday morning in a two-vehicle wreck that injured three other people in Etowah County.

Andy D. McSpadden, 50, of Fort Payne, was pronounced dead at the scene of the 11:15am Thursday crash which was on U.S. 11 near Walker Lane, about four miles north of Reece City.  Alabama Law Enforcement Agency Senior Trooper Brandon Bailey said McSpadden was driving a 2009 Nissan Rogue that struck a 2020 Mercedes GLC300.  The driver of the Mercedes was injured and taken to UAB. A passenger in the Rogue was taken to Erlanger Hospital in Chattanooga, Tennessee while a passenger in the Mercedes was also taken to UAB.

Further information is unavailable as Alabama State Troopers continued to investigate the wreck.
