New Benefits For Cherokee County School Students

As school is set to begin on Wednesday, August 9th, Superintendent of Education, Mike Welsh and the Board of Education are proud to announce the School System will provide free breakfast and lunch for ALL  students during the upcoming academic year.

In addition to Free breakfast and lunch, the School System will be providing Free Essential School Supplies for ALL students. This is provided through the Federal Program Title I Funds with the assistance of Federal Programs Director Randy Smith and his staff.

Also the Superintendent and Board are proud to announce a $400,000 Stronger Connections Grant which will be used primarily to develop a Stakeholder Success Center. Federal Program Specialist Sarah Richardson wrote the grant application to secure the grant.

The Board and School System is hopeful these benefits will help families, enhance student learning, and build a stronger connection to the School Community.
