Female Injured While Hiking
Sunday afternoon a female hiking below Little River Canyon Falls slipped and fell on rocks causing injury to her leg.
The Fisher Rescue Squad was called in to extricate her from the Canyon.
Due to the rough terrain, the Fisher Squad called for Cherokee County to send more man power to assist. Members of the Broomtown Fire Department responded and helped remove the victim to the parking area where an ambulance was waiting to transport her to a hospital for treatment.
That incident occurred after 4 p.m.
