SAND ROCK – Jadyn Foster recorded her 1,100th strikeout and no-hit Gaston in Sand Rock’s10-0 victory in the Class 2A, Area 11 softball tournament on Monday.

Foster walked two and struck out 17 in the victory. She also went 1-for-3 at the plate with a walk and a run.

Sherina Foster added a pair of hits, including a double, with a walk, a run and three RBIs. Aliyah King also collected two hits, a walk and two runs. Lacey Barnette doubled, walked, scored a run and drove in another. Katelyn StClair also doubled and drove in three runs.

Bailey Kilgore contributed a hit, a walk, a run and two RBIs. Zoey Handy had a hit and scored a run. Peyton Johnson walked twice and scored a run. Emma Sipsy drove in a run. Briley Knight and Madeline Clanton both scored a run.

Sand Rock advances to Tuesday’s 6 p.m. winners bracket game where it will face Collinsville, a 12-10 winner over Fyffe in other first-round tournament action on Monday.
