An investigation is underway after a body was found in Birmingham.
That discovery was made shortly before 7:00 Friday morning near the Ensley Avenue exit on the 59/20 Route. The body was just feet off the travel lanes.
Birmingham Fire and Rescue Service pronounced the person dead on the scene.
Officers and investigators with the Jefferson County Coroner’s Office headed that way immediately.
Authorities said it’s too soon to tell how he died or if any foul play is involved.
