Warrior soccer teams blank Hokes Bluff on senior night

CENTRE — Both Cherokee County High School soccer teams defeated Hokes Bluff on senior night Thursday.

The Warrior boys won 5-0. They had goals from Kelvin Bueso (2), Will Frampton, Yeffry Mejia and Walter Chavez-Bautista.

Tucker Neyman and Gabe Careaga posted the shutout on goal.

The Lady Warriors won 4-0 behind a hat trick from Ava Haygood and a goal from senior Emalee Morrison. Senior Kaylee Green and Donice Dupree posted the shutout on goal.

Both teams have an opportunity to lock up playoff spots with wins against Etowah on Thursday at home.
