ATTALLA – Mary Hayes Johnson scored a game-high 27 points, including three 3-pointers, in leading the Cherokee County Lady Warriors to a 57-35 basketball win at Etowah .

Nevaeh Gaidurgis tossed in 10 points for the Lady Warriors (3-1). Ella Garmany finished with nine points.

Jaleigh DeVine led Etowah with 12 points. Laura Wood had 10 points.

The Lady Warriors led 13-11 at the end of the first quarter and took a 27-20 advantage into halftime. Cherokee County extended its lead to 46-27 after three quarters.

The Lady Warriors host Jacksonville on Friday.
