UPDATE: Gaylesville’s 5th Annual Homecoming Parade and Free Community Meal Moved to Wednesday, Sept 28th

UPDATE: Gaylesville School’s 5th annual homecoming parade, originally set for Thursday, has been rescheduled for this Wednesday (September 28th) at 4:30pm, with line-up next to the track and baseball field. The move is a result of Friday’s homecoming game being rescheduled for Thursday due to the threat of inclement weather.

The parade, which will feature decorated floats and candy for the kids, will follow the same route as previous years, beginning on Oak Street and turning right onto Main Street/AL Highway 68, then turning right again at the 4-way stop onto AL Highway 35, before ending back on Oak Street.

Immediately following the parade at 5:45pm, everyone is invited to attend a free community meal at the football field, complete with hotdogs, chips, and drinks. There will also be a chili cook-off with the the winner receiving a $50 Walmart gift card. Anyone interested in entering the chili contest, may contact Kayla Colbert at 256-706-9620.

The Trojans will host the Woodville Panthers for homecoming on Thursday (September 29th) at Trojan Stadium with kickoff set for 7pm. Homecoming court will now be announced at halftime.
