Digital Citizenship Week in Cherokee County Schools

Parents/Guardians/Community:

August 22-26 is Digital Citizenship Week in Cherokee County Schools. Your child(ren) will be participating in activities to help them understand how to use technology in a safe and responsible manner.

As part of this week, Wednesday, August 24, 2022 will be an E-Learning Day for students and a work day for all employees. Students will not be on campus on this day, but will have electronic assignments to complete. While we strongly believe traditional, in-person learning is best for our students, we want to be as prepared as possible for effective e-learning should the need arise for any reason (i.e. weather situations, pandemics, common illnesses, other emergencies). This e-learning day will help us assess our ability to connect with students in such an event. Thank you in advance for your patience, cooperation, and understanding as we practice this non-traditional approach.

This E-Learning Day will also serve as a Data Day for our school administrators and teachers, as well as, a professional development day for our educational support staff. Reviewing our data is an important part of our commitment to improving academic performance for all students. Again, we thank you for your patience, cooperation, and understanding.
