ALBERTVILLE – The Cherokee County Lady Warriors and Piedmont Lady Bulldogs split their East Central Softball Regional games in Albertville on Tuesday.

Cherokee County defeated Westminster Christian 4-2, but the Lady Warriors lost the nightcap to Madison County 16-11. Cherokee County drops to the Class 4A losers bracket, where it will face Oneonta on Wednesday morning at 10:45 a.m.

Meanwhile, Piedmont took care of Sylvania in its regional opener 15-8, but then lost to Geraldine 7-5. The Lady Bulldogs take on Ohatchee at 10:45 a.m. Wednesday morning.
