Rylin StClair homers twice to help lift Sand Rock softball past Ider, Wicksburg

ALBERTVILLE – Rylin StClair’s inside-the-park 3-run homer in the bottom of the fifth inning lifted the Sand Rock Lady Wildcats to a 6-5 win over Wicksburg in the Sand Mountain Pre-Area Softball Tournament on Friday. She also had an inside-the-park homer in the Lady Wildcats’ 10-3 victory over Ider.

StClair finished the day going a combined 6-for-7 with three runs and six RBIs.

Against Wicksburg, StClair went a perfect 3-for-3 at the plate. She also doubled, scored twice and had three RBIs.

EllaGrace Hood also homered for the Lady Wildcats. She also walked twice, scored twice and had two RBIs. Emma Sipsy and Sherina Foster both contributed a hit and a run. Lacey Barnette doubled and Jadyn Foster finished with a hit.

Jadyn Foster also picked up the win in the circle. She scattered three earned runs on seven hits with a walk and six strikeouts.

In the win over Ider, StClair went 3-for-4 with the inside-the-park homer and three RBIs. Hood also had three hits, including a pair of doubles, with three runs and three RBIs. Briley Knight also collected three hits and scored a run.

Jadyn Foster had a pair of hits, including a triple, with a walk and three runs. Aliyah King doubled and drove in three runs. Sipsy contributed a double and a run. Sherina Foster also doubled.

Hood earned the win in the circle. She scattered five hits with a walk and three strikeouts and didn’t allow an earned run.

The Lady Wildcats continue tournament play on Saturday.
