Mr. Bobby G. Rains, age 87 of Leesburg, passed away Thursday, March 31, 2022.
The graveside service will be held 2pm Sunday, April 3rd at Cherokee Memory Gardens with Rev. Ted Elrod officiating.
He is survived by his wife, Jewel Rains; son, Johnny (Jill) Rains; daughters, Valarie Hargett, and Sandy (Garry) Phillips; sister, Brenda (Preston) Renfroe, 10 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren; chosen daughter, Pam Sexton Butler, and numerous other family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his son, Bobby “B.J.” Rains, Jr.; brothers, WL Rains, John Lewis Rains, Franklin Leon Rains, Richard Rains; sisters, Lena Jackson, Ellen Naugher.
Pallbearers will include grandsons: Darren Johnson, Derek Rains, Luke Rains, Kevin Rains, Brevyn Rains Phillips, and Sawyer Rains
Honorary Pallbearers will include: Bob Womack, James Johnson, and Jim Roberts.
Mr. Rains was lifelong resident of Leesburg, a former Marine, and he was the son of the late, John and Willie Viola Rains.
