Units from McCord’s, Spring Creek, and Cave Springs Fire Departments were dispatched to a report of a structure fire near the dead end of County Road 101 in the McCord’s Crossroads Community early Thursday morning.
The call of the blaze came in just before 1:00am. McCord’s Fire Department Assistant Chief Barry Rogers, Jr. arrived on the scene within 5 minutes of the alarm and reported that the structure was fully involved.
Fire Department personnel were able to utilize a nearby hydrant to obtain a positive water supply to suppress the fire and protect a nearby exposure. The fire was brought under control in about 35 minutes.
Fortunately, no one was home when the fire started.
