SKYLINE – Valley Head connected on 12 3-pointers to help end the Cedar Bluff boys’ basketball season with a 75-63 decision in the Class 1A, Area 13 tournament on Wednesday.

Chandler Johnson led the way for Valley Head with four treys and 19 points. Eian Bain and Ethan Webb both sank three 3-pointers and had 17 and 15 points respectively. Mason Vest and Lane Ingram both finished with 11 points.

MJ Adams topped Cedar Bluff with 19 points. Bucky Leek had a pair of treys and finished with 14 points. Connor Flynt added 11 points. Eli McFry managed 10 points and Aden Green delivered six points.

Cedar Bluff led 15-9 at the end of the first quarter, but Valley Head battled back to take a 30-28 advantage at halftime. Valley Head led 46-40 at the end of three quarters and closed out the game by outscoring Cedar Bluff 29-23 in the final quarter.
