Addison Johnson is a 16 year old in Centre resident who recently spent several weeks in the hospital fighting for her life after being introduced introduced to the synthetic drug “Spike” also known as Spice or K2.
Her family believes that whoever purchased this drug got it from a service station at the Alabama state line. Addison’s family and friends want this drug to be made illegal in the state of Georgia.
Saturdays event included live entertainment by several gospel groups and face painting along with a number of other activities including an opportunities for the public to speak with Addison in person.
T-shirts & bracelets are also available for purchase with all proceeds from the event going toward offsetting medical expenses for Addison, and raising awareness of drug abuse among children in our community.
The family has started a petition to have the drug spike removed from shelves in Georgia – for additional information contact Pam Johnson (256) 484-7083.
