A Calhoun County man has been arrested on a charge of Possession of Child Pornography.

According to information contained in a news release Special Agents with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force arrested John Anthony Beck, age 44 of Anniston on Thursday of this week. ICAC Task Force Agents made the arrest – with assistance provided by the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency Tactical Team and the Anniston Police Department.

No additional information regarding the specifics of the case will be released at this time as the investigation continues.

Beck remains in the Calhoun County Jail.

“Through our ICAC Task Force, ALEA will continue to aggressively investigate and assist in the prosecution of individuals who victimize our children,” Secretary of Law Enforcement Spencer Collier said.

  “The ICAC Task Force is comprised of nine seasoned investigators from legacy agencies, supported by ALEA Criminal Intelligence Analysts, who are and will continue to be relentless in the investigation of offenders who sexually exploit children.
