One person was injured in a single vehicle rollover on County Road 3 near Pats Handy Mart, approximately four miles west of Sand Rock, late Tuesday afternoon.

The vehicle, a 1990 Ford, reportedly overturned in a sharp curve with the driver, identified as 57 year old Ernest Hunter of Collinsville, sustaining injuries in the crash, which occurred at 5:45pm.

The accident report indicated that Hunter was wearing his seatbelt.

The Sand Rock Fire Department, Cherokee EMS, Cherokee County Sheriff’s Department and Alabama State Troopers responded to the scene.

The cause of the accident remains under investigation by state troopers.
