Short – sweet – and to the point pretty such summed up the Special Called Meeting of the Cherokee County Board of Education Tuesday morning. During the course of that meeting, which clocked in at just under seven minutes, board members received the financial report for August 2014 for review; approved Out-of-State Travel for Amanda Harkins and Jennifer Bomian to attend training in Chattanooga, Tennessee, on October 8th; in personnel action – the resignation of Kindergarten Teacher Lana Jones at Centre Elementary was accepted and contract employment with Leanne Peek was approved.
The next regular meeting of the Cherokee County Board of Education, is slated for Tuesday, October 7th at 6:00pm in the Central Board Office on East Main Street in Centre.
