SAND ROCK — The Sand Rock boys basketball team opened 2022 with an 80-53 victory over visiting Brindlee Mountain on Monday evening.
Kaden Justice led the Wildcats with 29 points, 14 rebounds and eight assists. Jacob StClair collected 14 points and six assists. Bradley Jackson added 10 points. Gunner Cox finished with eight points, four boards and four steals.
Caleb Scott led the Lions with 19 points.
Sand Rock built a 25-8 first-quarter advantage and led 38-23 at halftime. The Wildcats held a 62-43 edge at the end of three quarters.
Sand Rock travels to Gaston on Friday.
