A single-vehicle accident involving a motorcycle sent the driver of the bike to an area trauma center late Thursday afternoon.
The mishap took place just prior to 5:00pm at 3030 Weiss Lake Boulevard where the driver lost control and left the roadway. Leesburg Police and Fire units responded to the scene along with Floyd EMS personnel.
No additional information regarding the extent of the driver’s injuries been released, and what led to the crash has yet to be determined.
