CENTRE – Local attorneys H. Dean Buttram Jr., William Hawkins Jr., and Chad A. Hopper have re-upped as sponsors of the WEIS Scoreboard Show for the 2021 high school football season.
The show enters its fifth season this August. It immediately follows the station’s Friday night high school football broadcasts. It’s the fourth year the scoreboard show has been sponsored by Buttram, Hawkins and Hopper.
“We’re honored to have the Buttram, Hawkins and Hopper Scoreboard Show coming back for the fifth season on WEIS,” station manager Jerry Baker said. “They are a great team to work with. They’ve been great supporters of the Scoreboard Show since we started it and we’re just thrilled to have them on. We appreciate them so much and look forward to a great season.”
“It’s our honor to do so,” said Hopper, whose son Cade is a junior quarterback for the Cherokee County Warriors. “We’ve been pleased to be a part of this pretty much since the beginning. It’s such a quality product. It’s something when I talk with Dean and Bill each year about renewing, it’s a no-brainer for us. We get our law firm’s name out there a lot. It helps us, but we’re also all high school and college football fans. We enjoy the product that WEIS puts out.”
Buttram, Hawkins and Hopper, LLC is located at 440 West Main Street in Centre and serves clients throughout Cherokee, Etowah, DeKalb and Calhoun counties.
“We do anything from automobile accidents to divorces, criminal defense, probate work,” Hopper said. “Dean Buttram, Bill Hawkins and myself have been Buttram, Hawkins and Hopper since 2001-02. We’ve been a law firm here since 1979. We’re kind of the one-stop shop for any legal services you need.”
The first Buttram, Hawkins and Hopper Scoreboard Show of the season will be Aug. 20, following the Whitesburg Christian at Gaylesville game. The show is hosted by Tony Hathcock, Joey Weaver and a surprise personality to be revealed during the first broadcast.
“We’re ready for the season and wish all the Cherokee County teams the best of luck,” Hopper said.
