The Cherokee County Board of Education is set to hold their regular meeting this evening at 6:00 p.m. at the Central Board Office in Centre.
According to the agenda, the board is set to vote on a School Resource Officer Program. The unknown remains how many officers will be approved and how the funding will be split.
During their previous meeting, Superintendent of Education Mitchell Guice made a presentation to the board outlining figures to fund four, six or eight officers.
We’ll provide an update as soon as the meeting is adjourned.
