The Gaylesville Fire Department, Floyd EMS, and Alabama State Troopers responded to two single-vehicle accidents during the early morning hours of Friday – both being rollovers.

The first occurred at 2:51am near the Alabama/Georgia line on Highway 68 at County Road 140.  Fortunately, no one was hurt in that mishap and the driver was simply shaken up.

The second mishap occurred at 5:40am on County Road 92 off of Highway 35 in Gaylesville.

That accident was called-in as a single-vehicle rollover with entrapment; the driver was out of the vehicle prior to 6:00 and was tended to by medics at the scene prior to being taken to Floyd Cherokee Medical Center for the treatment of what appeared to be minor injuries.

No word yet on what may have led to either accident taking place.
