18 Wheeler Overturns On Highway 411 North On Tuesday / UPDATED

Emergency personnel were dispatched to the scene of an overturned 18 wheeler Tuesday afternoon on Highway 411 North near County Road 225.

That accident occurred in the exact same location where an 18 wheeler overturned just last week. Traffic was backed up for an extended period of time as crews worked to clear away the trailer’s payload, which in this case was corn, and remove the 1996 Peterbilt. 

According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency accident report – the driver, listed as a resident of Falkville, Alabama in Morgan County – was injured the mishap.  No additional information regarding the extent of his injuries was immediately available.

The Spring Creek Fire Department, Floyd EMS, Sheriff’s Office personnel and Alabama State Troopers responded to the scene.

The cause of the wreck remains under investigation by state troopers.
