Shortly before 12 noon on Friday, a “box truck” turned over between Cherokee Drive and the Country Store on Highway 9 North in Cedar Bluff.
The driver of the truck was transported from the scene by Floyd EMS to a local hospital.
Cedar Bluff Fire and Police Departments, Cherokee County EMA, Gaylesville Fire and Floyd EMS all responded to the scene.
Both lanes of traffic were blocked for an extended period of time before they were re-opened.
The cause of the accident is unclear at this time and we will have further updates on the situation when they become available.
