Funeral will be 3 p.m. Wednesday at Centre Congregational Holiness Church for Joyce Qualls, age 75, of Centre, who passed away Monday May 13, 2019.  Pastors Tim Smith and P.D. Wheeler will officiate.  Burial will follow at Cherokee Memory Gardens.  Village Chapel Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.

Miss Qualls was born and reared in Cherokee County and was a graduate of Cherokee County High School.  Joyce lost her father in an automobile accident at an early age and later became a part of a blended family that included four brothers.  She never married or had children of her own, but had numerous chosen children that she spoiled with homemade fudge, sourdough bread, and trips to the Village Inn Restaurant at the Jacksonville square. 

Joyce attended the Centre Congregational Holiness Church and was a devoted Christian.  Her church family held a special place in her heart.  She was loved by her family and friends and will be dearly missed.  Joyce was preceded in death by her father, Jim Qualls; mother, Roma Holbrooks; step-father, Carl Holbrooks; brother, James Qualls; step-brothers, John and Marlin Holbrooks.

She is survived by her brother, Sammy (Shirley) Holbrooks; nephews, Ricky (Linda) Holbrooks, Jeff Holbrooks, Bryan (Cindy) Holbrooks, Russell Holbrooks, Wesley (Cassie) Holbrooks; niece, Sheila (Terry) Goss; special friends, Barbara and Mike Davis, Barbara and Don Harris and Shirley Turner.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, May 15, 2019 at Centre Congregational Holiness Church from 1:30 – 3 p.m.
