June 3rd and June 5th Weiss Lake Improvement Association will team up with Alabama Power for to build and Deploy Fish Attractive Devices (FADS). June 3rd we will build the habitats and June 5th we will put them in the lake. This will be our 7th habitat project and our 4th year of the program. FADS are placed in locations where the natural habitat has deteriorated over the years. This gives young fish more cover to avoid predators.
WLIA needs volunteers on both days to help construct and deploy the FADS. The staging area will be at Little River Marina and Lodge and we will meet at 8:00 am on both days at the marina. Lunch will be provided.
