Kenneth “Tater” Stinson

Kenneth “Tater” Stinson age 80 of Centre passed away Saturday March 16th at Gadsden Regional Hospital.

Funeral services will be 2 PM Tuesday March 19th at Perry Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ethan Parker, Rev. Eddie Nation, Rev. Ted Elrod and Rev. Wendall Dutton officiating, burial will follow in Calcedonia Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 until 8 Monday at the funeral home.

Survivors include sister, Melba Fay (Arlen) Folsom of Atlanta, Ga.; sister-in-law, Elizabeth Stinson of Centre; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Stinson; brothers, Gleason Stinson and Victor Allen Stinson; sisters, Hazel Gross and Julia Juanita Longshore.

Mr. Stinson was a native of Cherokee County and the son of the late John Pace and Florence Eugene Newberry Stinson and a member of Calcedonia Baptist Church. He was a Mason.

The family will accept flowers or memorials may be made to The Leukemia Society.
