A Flood Victim Shelter, supported by the American Red Cross, is open in the Activity Center at Cherokee Health & Rehab in Centre – where hot meals, showers and a place to sleep have been made available. While it is unfortunate, due to allergies and other issues there will not be any animals allowed in that shelter, with the only exception being service animals. You’ll need to make suitable arrangements for your pets prior to coming to the shelter.
The Flood Victim Shelter is in need of volunteers for various shifts over the next few days.
