DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office investigators arrested three individuals after following up on a tip regarding several stolen firearms late last week.
According to Sheriff Nick Welden law enforcement traveled to a home in the Crossville area where a suspect had reportedly been staying, and as the homeowner was being questioned an investigator noticed a safe matching the description of one taken in the same burglary as the guns.
A search of the home resulted in the discovery of the stolen property – along with a number of items of drug paraphernalia.
Crossville resident 25 year old Zachary McClendon was arrested and charged with Burglary 3rd Degree, two counts of Theft of Property 2nd Degree, with the Possession of Controlled Substance and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Meanwhile, the homeowner, listed as 28 year old Brandy Rhodes of Hanceville and an occupant of the home – Kenneth Copeland age 37 of Crossville were also arrested for Possession of a Controlled Substance and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Copeland was additionally charged with a Probation Violation.
