Update on Friday Morning Highway 411 Wreck Just Across Etowah County Line

We have an update on that three-vehicle accident occurring shortly before 5:00am Friday, on Highway 411 just inside the Etowah County line.

According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency accident report that wreck involved a 2000 Toyota being driven by James Pate of Coker, Alabama – and two 18-Wheelers, a 2016 Western Star driven by Daniel Crider and a 2014 Peterbilt driven by Hank Crider both from Rome, Georgia.  Pate was listed on the report as being injured in the crash but no additional information was noted.

The crash closed down both lanes of traffic on 411 for roughly two-and-a-half hours forcing motorists to detour onto Owl’s Hollow Road, or find another route altogether.  One lane of traffic was opened around 7:30 with the scene being cleared a short time later.

That accident remains under investigation by Alabama State Troopers.
