Emergency crews responded to the scene of a single vehicle accident occurring on County Road 1008 north of Cedar Bluff shortly before 3:00 on Friday afternoon. Cedar Bluff Fire Department units arrived on the scene to find the Toyota SUV almost completely under water. Law enforcement officers were able to make contact with the driver and he stated that he was not injured.

Cedar Bluff Police and Fire Department, Floyd EMS, Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office deputies, Cherokee County Rescue Squad personnel and officials with the Cherokee County Emergency Management Agency were all on the scene.

Again, there were no injuries reported in the mishap.
