On Friday, District Judge Wes Mobley administered the oath of office for Leigha Blake as the County’s newest deputy sheriff. Blake will be assigned to the investigation unit of the Sheriff’s Office.

Blake has been assigned to Cherokee County Major Crimes Unit since its inception and is also a state certified fire investigator. Chief Deputy Josh Summerford said, “She is a great addition to our team and we are grateful to have her.”
Blake was previously an Investigator with the Centre Police Department.
