20 Year Old Air-lifted for Treatment Following Wednesday Night Shooting in Piedmont

A 20 year old man was air-lifted to Chattanooga for the treatment of what is being termed “serious injuries” following a shooting incident in Piedmont Wednesday night.

Piedmont Police Chief Freddie Norton told media outlets that the incident occurred around 8:30 in the 200 block of South 5th Avenue – calling the victim’s injuries “life-threatening”.

The circumstances surrounding the shooting are unknown and no additional information is being released at this time.
