Cherokee County Republican Party Hosts 15th Annual Dinner/Celebration

The Cherokee County Republican Party hosted their 15 Annual Celebration and Dinner on Monday night in Centre. The lineup of guests included a number of elected officials from across the state and local level.

Among those that addressed the audience of well over 100 was State Attorney General Steve Marshall and Andrew Jones, Candidate for State Senate District 10.

The Keynote speaker for the evening was the Honorable Mac McCutcheon, Speaker of the Alabama House. McCutcheon touched on a number of topics currently facing our state government including, infrastructure, school safety, current issues facing the federal government in Washington, the race for Governor in Alabama and a vote on a state lottery.

Also among the delegation in attendance was State Senator Phil Williams, Williams is currently in the final days of his term and is not seeking reelection. Newcomer Andrew Jones and State Representative Craig Ford are vying for that seat.

The Cherokee County Republican Party honored Senator Williams for his years of dedicated service to the 10th District of Alabama and especially Cherokee County.
