One Killed, Two Injured in Auto Accident Two Miles South of Scottsboro

The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency has now released the report on a two-vehicle crash that fatally injured one person and injured two others on Friday (September 7th) afternoon in Jackson County.

According to that report, 89 year old Willard Parker of Rainsville, died as a result of injuries sustained after his 2016 Toyota collided with another vehicle two miles south of Scottsboro on Alabama 35 just after 2:30pm.  Parker, who was reportedly not wearing a seat belt, was taken to an area hospital, where he later died.  Both the driver of the other vehicle, 73 year old Willie Johnson from Andersonville, Georgia, and a passenger in the 2009 Chevrolet, were transported to an area hospital for treatment.

No additional information regarding their condition has been released.

State Troopers continue to investigate the accident.
