One Person Airlifted In Two Car Crash On Highway 411 In Front Of Fairview Church In Centre

One person was airlifted to UAB Hospital in Birmingham after being injured in a two car crash in front of Fairview Church in Centre on Friday afternoon. Centre Police and Fire Departments, Cherokee EMS and Rescue Squad Personnel responded to the scene.

The accident involved a Jeep and a Ford pickup truck. One of the victims was taken from the scene to a landing zone at the Leesburg FEMA building where a Lifesaver Helicopter airlifted him to the UAB trauma center.

Firefighters from the Sand Rock, Leesburg and Tucker’s Chapel Fire Departments also assisted at the scene and with the landing zone. We will have more details as soon as the Centre Police Department accident report is complete.
