A 68 year old Centre resident was hurt in a single-vehicle wreck occurring on Highway 411 Monday morning.  According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency accident report, that accident took place just after 11:30 and involved a 2012 Dodge driven by Jessie Beavers.

According to McCord’s Fire Chief Rich Lindsey, the driver of the vehicle had to be extricated by members of the McCord’s Fire Department and the Cherokee County Rescue Squad, with the patient then being transported by Cherokee EMS to an area hospital for treatment.

The accident report noted that a seat belt was in use.

The cause of that accident remains under investigation by Alabama State Troopers.
