Congratulations to the Gaylesville Elementary Robotics Team for their 1st Place win Friday of last week (March 2nd), in the highly-competitive Skills Competition at the Alabama State Robotics Championship, which was held in Gadsden.

They are now qualified to take part in the VEX Robotics World Championship, which will be a three day competition, taking place April 29th – May 1st, in Louisville, Kentucky.

The team is currently looking for sponsors to help offset the costs associated with the trip – including lodging, food and so on; the registration fee alone is $975.00.

There are 12 students on the team.  For additional information, contact Coaches Lacie Keith or Wendy Burkhead at Gaylesville School by calling (256) 422-3401.
